Ikeya Lagos, Nigeria, January 26-28, 2015 – The year got off to a good start with 3 days of solar training for 20 students from the Lagos State Electrification Board (LSEB) and DFID in attendance that are embarking on the installation and commissioning of a thousand systems at schools across the country.
The class was a mixture of people from the new solar novice to experienced installers.
The first day was centered on basic introduction to the various system components, with gradual transition to proper system sizing, communication, level 1 & 2 training on the Conext XW+ and lead to hands-on training and practice on the components.
The inputs during the sessions of the other trainers from Rolls batteries were equally priceless. With over 20 years of experience in different inverter industries and in batteries, they were able to add value with best practices for installers and an excellent wrap up on the 3rd day. We also received very positive feedback after the training from the program coordinator, with more opportunities for training and collaboration in their ongoing project.
With some pilot locations already commissioned, we’ll continue to guide and support the teams as they bring all the schools online by April 2015.
