We were recently recognized by the Solar Industry Awards under the category of Rural Electrification for a community electrification project we supported in Indonesia.
The government of Indonesia started a Rural Electrification Program aimed to provide electricity to people in remote areas and islands where it is not easy to have access to fuel or electricity. The goal of the Rural Electrification Program is to promote the economy of rural communities, improve the quality of education and health, encourage economic productivity, facilitate and accelerate access to electronic and other media, and to improve the security on the islands. Our Conext XW+ solution was chosen because of its technical superiority and high reliability, along with our local support and services capability.
We are installing between 15 to 75 kW off-grid systems in over 60 sites in Indonesia as part of this community electrification project. Under the Rural Electrification Program every village is provided with a community television and each household is given lighting and electrical sockets. To learn more about this project, read our case study.
Our very own Aleix Massana, Operational Marketing Manager, attended the award ceremony in Hamburg, Germany last week to accept the award. Thank you to all those who voted for us under the category!
