The California Solar Energy Industry Association (CALSEIA) is the oldest state-based solar energy association in the United States. Based in Sacramento, California, CALSEIA has advanced the common interests of the California solar industry since the 1970’s and has a proven track record of sponsoring and implementing successful solar policies and programs that bring together local communities, government officials, solar companies, utilities, and innovative thinkers in support of solar energy deployment. The goal of CALSEIA’s fundraising auction this year is to raise $25,000, with all proceeds benefiting CALSEIA’s critical programs. Some of these priorities include, fighting for the extension of the ITC (Investment Tax Credit) and CALSEIA’s advocacy on rate reforms, storage, the smart inverter working group, and the future of net metering at the CPUC (California Public Utilities Commission).
Last year, Schneider Electric contributed a Conext XW inverter/charger and Conext ComBox to CALSEIA’s first annual fundraising auction. We were proud to participate again this year and donated our new Conext XW+ 5548 battery-based inverter/charger, Conext XW+ Power Distribution Panel (PDP), and Conext ComBox to help support CALSEIA’s fight to keep California’s solar industry strong and ever-growing.

This year’s event took place on December 4, in the heart of Oakland. It was an eventful evening as CALSEIA members and solar professionals gathered to celebrate the year’s success and welcomed the new year ahead. While we were unable to personally partake in the holiday festivities, we were delighted to learn that our donations were won by a chapter member in San Diego. CALSEIA provided us with great action photos that captured the live auction via Skype and the phone bidding war that ensued! Congratulations to our winner from Home Energy Systems (not pictured below) – we hope you enjoy your new XW+ system!
Thank you CALSEIA for the opportunity to participate this year!
