India has set a target of installing 175 GW of renewable energy by 2022, of which 100 GW will be solar. Of this solar capacity, 40 GW will come from rooftop and 60 GW through large and medium scale grid connected solar power projects. The Indian market is expected to reach close to 9 GW in 2017.
With a focus on the renewable energy sector and smart grids, Schneider Electric India recently participated in Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo. This event is Asia’s largest energy trade expo and celebrated its tenth anniversary. Over forty countries participated along with 650 exhibitors.

We are participating in the “Make in India” initiative by having our complete system offering, including the Conext SmartGen Power System, our integrated medium voltage power conversion substation, fully manufactured in India.
